In his teaching, Peter aims to combine his research interests with his teaching duties. He enjoys introducing students to the wonderful world of research. His one and only goal is to make students better researchers. Currently, Peter teaches in a number of courses:

Students who are interested pursuing a thesis (at the undergraduate or graduate level) covering any ┬ásubject in cultural sociology: please feel free to contact me. For the near future, I’m especially interested in supervising theses on the subjects of:

  • Institutional trust (e.g. trust in science, politics, or the justice system)
  • Conflicts between higher and lower educated
  • Attitudes toward science
  • Class and politics
  • Political cultures
  • Religion and society (e.g. antireligiosity among the non-religious, the public salience of religion)
  • Welfare attitudes
  • Cultural participation
  • Popular culture
